Bio

Barry Rosenthal has lived New York City for the past 25 years. He studied photography at the Dayton Art Institute and also worked with notable photographers Emmet Gowin and George Tice. In his photographic journey, Barry has created work in many diverse genres from portraiture to journalism and advertising to annual reports.

Artist Statement

I make images about exploring, examination and collecting. I am interested in cataloguing objects found in nature. My work is photographic and sculptural. By lighting simply and consistently from piece to piece, the collections show a graphic representation of a local or region.
